SmallPetSavings (“we”, “us”) runs smallpetsavings.com, a site that finds deals on supplies for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, reptiles, birds, fish and other small pets. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public with your comment.
Contacting us
If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and do not add you to any mailing list without your permission.
Analytics
We use Koko Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics plugin that runs on our own server. It counts page views and referrers without collecting personal information, without sharing data with third parties, and without tracking you across other websites.
Saved deals
If you save deals to revisit later, that list is stored in your own browser (local storage) and is not sent to us.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies so you don’t have to fill them in again; these last for one year. Site administrators who log in receive login cookies. We do not use advertising cookies ourselves. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Affiliate links
Many links on this site are affiliate links, including links through the eBay Partner Network and other retail affiliate programs. When you click one, the retailer or affiliate network may set cookies or use similar technologies to record that you came from SmallPetSavings, so we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Embedded content from other websites
Pages may include embedded content such as product images, videos or social media posts. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with that content.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Comments may be checked by an automated spam-detection service. Otherwise, we only share information when required by law.
How long we keep your data
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically. Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer your question. Analytics data contains no personal information.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, except data we must keep for legal, administrative or security reasons.
